Learning disabilities, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, and emotional problems can interfere with academic success. She has extensive post-doctoral training in the dynamics of divorce, parenting after divorce, children’s adjustment to divorce, and child custody evaluations. She often works with individuals affected by divorce in individual therapy, as a Collaborative Divorce coach and child specialist, as a co-parenting specialist, or as a child custody evaluator. - Immigration Evaluation
Dr. Altes has done hardship evaluations for immigration proceedings for over 20 years and has testified in Immigration Court in Los Angeles and San Diego. She combines her compassion, training, and experience in family dynamics, child development, and assessment to create reports that have been helpful in immigration proceedings.
